When Glenn was writing and researching Skaler he undertook a radio broadcasting course, to develop his writing skills, and ability to focus on his visual imagination.
It was an exhilarating, addictive medium to work in, and the course got him fully involved in the Wolverhampton Community Magazine Programme on BBC Radio WM, and the WCR Challenge FM Broadcasts, as a script writer, journalist, producer and presenter.
For Challenge he developed a comedy series called Absolutely Fatuous, and Cold Tea and Biros, a writers' forum, and along the way he wrote a lot of short stories which were broadcast.
It was wonderful fun, and after 7 years with the studio he left to write and illustrate my Skaler novel.
